Afterlooking at the reference picture that I have and I compared it to the state that my sculpt is currently in, I have decided that I have a lot of work left to do.
1.I need to reconsider the cheek bones. They are entirely too pointy and look almost as if the character is smiling, which is not what I am going for.
2. I think I need to lower the chin a bit more and increase the space under the cheek bones so that I can add more of an upper lip. This will give me more space to attach the teeth when I finish the job.
I am still debating on if I want to add ears or not. I am leaning towards not adding them.
3. I think I will add some clay to the upper lip area on the inside which would be intended for the teeth to be placed. Sort of like a gum line. This is more important for the canine teeth that protrude from the mask.
4. I think I will add all of the teeth to the sculpt so that I can cast them. I will exclude any teeth that need to stick out, because I think that would be very difficult to cast as a part of the main sculpt.
I have to start considering the other parts of the costume.
1. I think I will make an infinity scarf for the piece that goes around the neck.
2. I think a simple sleeveless tunic top will suffice for the upper body.
3. I was thinking that Solid Red PJ pants will be perfect for the bottoms. I really want to have all matching colors, so I may try and find white of everything and then just dye all of the pieces together.
4. Not sure what to do about the bracer portions. The fabric will be easy, but the hook shaped guard thing might be tricky. I think I will scuplt that and do a two piece mold.
5. I am leaning toward EVA Foam for the shoulder pads, the sword, and the belt.
6. I am planning on doing a scuplt for the horns, unless I can find another method online.
7. I would like to be able to add LEDS to the eyes and stuff, but that may be a bit much with a lot of learning.
The best thing about this whole process is that fact that I get to spend time learning and sort of figuring out how to do things like this. I really like being able to work with my hands and it all takes my mind off of the rest of my life.
